Ralph & Lois Oltmann Owners

Ralph Oltmann, Owner/ Funeral Director/ Embalmer, is a graduate of St. Louis Mortuary College. Ralph was in graves registration during World War II. He is the third generation of the Oltmann family involved in the business.

Lois Sudholt Oltmann, Owner/Funeral Director, married to Ralph since June 2, 1950.

Ralph & Lois have one son, Keith, making him the fourth generation serving families at the Oltmann Funeral Home.

 

Ralph and Louis Oltmann are members of Zion United Church of Christ in Union, Missouri.

Keith & Theresa Oltmann Owners

Keith Oltmann is the fourth generation of the Oltmann family serving loved ones and families  at the Oltmann Funeral Home. Keith is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.

Keith is married to Theresa Oltmann and the two have one daughter, Jessica. Keith is a graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He is a Board Member of United Bank of Union and a  retired volunteer firefighter with Union Fire Department. Keith has previously served as a Board Mmeber for the Union Fire District, Board Member of Union Development Corporation, Member of the Union Kiwanis, and Past President of Union Jaycees.

Theresa Oltmann is a licensed  Funeral Director. She is a member of the Immaculate Conception Daughter of Isabella in Union, Missouri.

Keith and Theresa Oltmann are both members of Immaculate Conception Church in Union, Missouri.

Jessica Oltmann Funeral Director/Pre-Need Counselor

Jessica Oltmann is the fifth  generation of the Oltmann Family serving loved ones and families at the Oltmann Funeral Home. Jessica is a licensed Funeral Director and Pre-Need Agent. 

 

Jessica is a 2004 graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School. She graduated from the Funeral Service Management program at Forest Park Community College in St. Louis, MIssouri and has been serving families as a licensed Funeral Director since 2007.

 

Jessica currently serves as the District 6 Director for the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association. She is a member of the Washington Optomist Club and served as their president from 2012 to 2014. She has also served her community as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Jessica is also a Past President of the Union Jaycees and Union Women of Today, and previously served on the Franklin County Walk for Diabetes Board.

 

Jessica Oltmann is a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Union, Missouri.

Kevin Mooney Funeral Director/Embalmer/Pre-Need Counselor

Kevin Mooney is a licensed Funeral Director, Embalmer, and Pre-Need Advisor. Kevin is a graduate of Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in Dallas, Texas.

 

Kevin is  married to Carol Zeitzmann Mooney and father of three children, Zachary, Isabella, & Abigail. Kevin has served loved ones and families as a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer since 1991. Kevin is also a Pre-Need Advisor and licensed Missouri Life Insurance Agent. Kevin is a member of the Knights of Columbus, Washington Historical Society, and the Washington Oddfellows.

 

Kevin and Carol Mooney and their children are members of St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington, Missouri.

Gene Wissmann Funeral Director

Gene Wissmann is a licensed Funeral Director.He is married to Donna Wissmann and the father of two children, Vicki  and Kevin Wissmann. Gene is also a loving grandfather to  three grandchildren--Kayla Herman, Nathan Hoeft, and Alex Wissmann--and four  great-grandchildren.

 

Gene attended East Central College and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before becoming a full-time, licensed Funeral Director.

 

Gene Wissmann is a retired member of the Union Fire Department and retired Fire Chief for the Union Fire Department.  

 

Gene and Donna Wissmann are members of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union, Missouri.

Jeff Kessels Funeral Director Apprentice / Embalmer Practicum Student

Jeff Kessels grew up in Union, MO and currently resides in Washington, MO. He joined the staff at Oltmann Funeral Home in 2016 as an Apprentice Funeral Director and Practicum Student Embalmer. Jeff is a graduate of Union High School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. He studied Mortuary Science at  Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines, Iowa.

 

Prior to joining the funeral service, Jeff was a social worker and worked primarily with children and families involved in the foster care system and with at-risk youth. His academic and professional background is a great asset to families who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one and to those preparing the final arrangements to celebrate a loved one's life.

 

Jeff Kessels chose to answer a vocational calling to join the funeral service as a way to serve the families in his community during difficult and, oftentimes, traumatic periods of their lives. He is proud to follow in the footsteps of his late uncle, who enjoyed a successful career serving families  for 25+ years as a funeral director and embalmer. Jeff's grandfather also worked in the funeral service, making him the third generation to serve families in the funeral industry.

 

Jeff is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, MO. He is an alumnus member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, an Eagle Scout, and a member of the Board of Directors at Loving Hearts Outreach.

Jacquelyn Elder Funeral Director/Embalmer/Pre-Need Counselor oltmann@yhti.net

Jacquelyn Elder was rasied in Luebbering, MO. She attended the Mortuary Science Program at Forest Park and graduated in 2014. She served her apprenticeship in the area as well. Jacquelyn has two children, Colin and Kyra. She currently lives in Labadie, MO. Jacquelyn will be serving the Oltmann Funeral Home at both the Union and Washington locations.
