Staff members of Oltmann Funeral Home are caring and experienced professionals who understand that each family is unique and has personal requests and traditions. These requests and traditions are of utmost importance to our staff of licensed funeral directors.

Keith Oltmann is the fourth generation of the Oltmann family serving loved ones and families at the Oltmann Funeral Home. Keith is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer.
Keith is married to Theresa Oltmann and the two have one daughter, Jessica. Keith is a graduate of Indiana College of Mortuary Science. He is a Board Member of United Bank of Union and a retired volunteer firefighter with Union Fire Department. Keith has previously served as a Board Member for the Union Fire District, Board Member of Union Development Corporation, Member of the Union Kiwanis, and Past President of Union Jaycees.
Theresa Oltmann is a licensed Funeral Director. She is a member of the Immaculate Conception Daughters of Isabella in Union, Missouri, past president of the Union Jayceetes and Women of Today.
Keith and Theresa Oltmann are both members of Immaculate Conception Church in Union, Missouri.

Jessica Oltmann is the fifth generation of the Oltmann family to serve families in the Franklin County Community since 2007.She grew up in Union, MO and currently resides there today with her children, Mario, Anayelli and Tessa
Jessica graduated from St. Francis Borgia High School in 2004, she then attended East Central College. In 2007 she graduated from St. Louis Community College-Forest Park's Mortuary Science Management Program.
Jessica currently serves as the Secretary and Treasurer for the Missouri Funeral Directors and Embalmers Association and is on the East Central College Foundation Board. She has been a member of the Washington Optomist Club since 2008 and served as their president from 2012 to 2014. She has also served her community as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) and a foster parent for Franklin County. Jessica is also a Past President of the Union Jaycees and Union Women of Today, and previously served on the Franklin County Walk for Diabetes Board and Franklin County Fair Board. In 2014 she was awarded the Outstanding Young Person award at the Union Chamber of Commerice Distinguished Service Award Banquet.
She is also a member of the Immaculate Conception Church. Jessica enjoys reading, crocheting and spending time with her children and attending their activities.

Jeff Kessels grew up in Union, MO and currently resides in Washington, MO. He joined the staff at Oltmann Funeral Home in 2016 as an Apprentice Funeral Director and Practicum Student Embalmer. Jeff is a graduate of Union High School and earned a Bachelors Degree in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Wabash College in Crawfordsville, IN. He studied Mortuary Science at Des Moines Area Community College in Des Moines, Iowa.
Prior to joining the funeral service, Jeff was a social worker and worked primarily with children and families involved in the foster care system and with at-risk youth. His academic and professional background is a great asset to families who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one and to those preparing the final arrangements to celebrate a loved one's life.
Jeff Kessels chose to answer a vocational calling to join the funeral service as a way to serve the families in his community during difficult and, oftentimes, traumatic periods of their lives. He is proud to follow in the footsteps of his late uncle, who enjoyed a successful career serving families for 25+ years as a funeral director and embalmer. Jeff's grandfather also worked in the funeral service, making him the third generation to serve families in the funeral industry.
Jeff is a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Union, MO. He is an alumnus member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, an Eagle Scout, a member of the Board of Directors at Union R-XI Foundation, Union Chamber's Outstanding Young Person 2021, and a member of the Board of Directors at Loving Hearts Outreach.

Steve was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. In 2004 He enlisted in the United States Army and served for 6 years with 2 tours in Iraq as an X-Ray Technician. He then used his GI Bill to go to school at St. Louis Community College-Forest Park, where he earned his Associates Degree in Mortuary Science. He then obtained his Embalmers and Funeral Directors Licenses in the summer of 2012. He serves as an embalmber and funeral director at both the Union and Washington Locations.
He met his wife, Carmen, in the fall of 2015 and they were married in 2017. In his time off he enjoys model building, bowling and playing video games.
Rick Neace came to Union, MO in 1996 from Jackson, MO. Rick started assisting Oltmann Funeral Home in late 2021, on a part time basis. He retired in January 2023 as Captain at the Union Police Department, after over 32 years in Law Enforcement. Rick Began a new career at Oltmann Funeral, as a Funeral director Apprentice, in January 2023.
His professional background in serving the public is a great asset to families who have experienced the recent loss of a loved one and to those preparing the final arrangements to celebrate a loved one's life.
Rick is eager to serve families and friends of this area in their time of need.
Rick has been married to Kristi for 34 years and has three children and three grandchildren. He is a member of The Ridge Church in Villa ridge, MO. He is also a member of the Union Rotary and Union Kiwanis organizations.

Rick Breitnebach has been employed with Oltmann Funeral Home in 2018. He assists families during visitations and funeral services. Rick and his wife Jane live in Washington, MO and are members of St. Francis Borgia Church in Washington. Rick and Jane have two children and five grandchildren.
Rick enjoys camping with his family in his free time. He also enjoys gardening and sharing vegetables from his garden with his family and friends.

Debbie Groff has been employed as a visitation assistant for several years. She assists families during visitation and write memorials for attendees at services.
Debbie has been employed full time at Strubberg Hardware and Plumbing for many years. She is a member of St. Joseph Neier Church in Union, MO.
Debbie is married to Steve Groff. They have three children. She enjoys spending time with her family in her time off.

Wanda Zeitzmann has been employed as a visitation assistatnt with Oltmann Funeral Home for several years. Wanda is a member of St. Francis Borgia Church and Choir. She is employed full time with Bank of Washington. In her time off she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews.

Sharon Stausing has been employed as a visitation assistant with Oltmann Funeral Home for serveral years. Sharon is retired from work in the insurance industry. She is a member of the Zion United Church of Christ and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #297. Sharon has two sons and three grandchildren and reisdes in Union, MO.

I served as a pastor for 20 years and Denomination Leader for 5 years.
In 2012 my wife, Charlene, and I decided to step away from vocational ministry and pour our lives into simply helping people with life issues.
For the last 6 years, I have worked in life insurance but then made the switch to helping families with their prearrangements, which is my sweet spot.
We lost our 32-year-old son in a tragic car accident in 2017 and decided at that point that I wanted to help people plan for unexpected issues in life. I am married to the love of my life, Charlene (40 years), and we have another son and five grandchildren.
My passion is spending time with family, golf, watching college football, and playing with my grandkids. I'd love to help you and your family prepare for the unexpected.

Ralph Oltmann, Owner/ Funeral Director/ Embalmer, was a graduate of St. Louis Mortuary College. Ralph was in graves registration during World War II. He was the third generation of the Oltmann family involved in the business. Ralph passed away December 5, 2021.
Lois Sudholt Oltmann, Owner/Funeral Director, married to Ralph since June 2, 1950.She was one of the first women to receive her funeral directors license in the State of Missouri. Lois passed away January 11, 2019.
Ralph & Lois have one son, Keith, making him the fourth generation serving families at the Oltmann Funeral Home.
Ralph and Louis Oltmann were members of Zion United Church of Christ in Union, Missouri.
While both Ralph and Lois have passed away they leave behind a legacy of hard work, compassionate care and service to others that is carried on in their son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.

Gene Wissmann was a licensed Funeral Director with the Oltmann Funeral Home for 26 years. While he is no longer with us we are grateful for his years of service with us.
He was married to Donna Wissmann and the father of two children, Vicki and Kevin Wissmann. Gene was also a loving grandfather to three grandchildren--Kayla Herman, Nathan Hoeft, and Alex Wissmann--and four great-grandchildren.
Gene attended East Central College and retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company before becoming a full-time, licensed Funeral Director.
Gene Wissmann was a retired member of the Union Fire Department and retired Fire Chief for the Union Fire Department.
Gene was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Union, Missouri.
